How Does A tumor grow?

Cancer starts when cells in our body divide out of control. If these cells stayed in one place, then the tumor would usually be relatively easy to treat by surgery. But cancer can grow and spread around the body, making treatment more difficult. Some tumors are slow growing, some are extremely aggressive and fast growing. It depends on their histology, origin site, hormonal sensitivity, and many unknown factors. First of all there are two main kind of tumors: benign and malign. The second type is the worst because it's not only a mass of cells which lose the capacity of auto-regulation in its growth but it shows the capacity of infiltrate and destroy the cells around. So the growth is due by the lose of regulatory system that characterize a healthy body (independence of tumoral cells from every hormone, grow factor, Dna repair system, and so on) when you get a tumor you have to value with a good doctor which is the best kind of therapy according to professionals.

Skeletal Disease

The 206 bones of the skeletal system provide a strong framework upon which muscles, tissues and organs can attach. This structure also protects your internal organs and allows your body to move around freely. Like any other body system, disease can affect your skeletal system.Arthritis is an inflammatory condition that affects your joints, such as the knees, or a portion of your spinal column. Typical symptoms of this condition include joint pain, swelling and stiffness accompanied by a reduction in the ability to freely move your joints. Bone cancer, though uncommon, is cancer that originates within a bone of your body causing bones to weaken. Individuals with bone cancer may experience fatigue, bone pain or frequent bone fractures.Though any bone can be affected by cancer, bone cancer most frequently occurs in longer bones, such as those in your legs or arms.Osteoporosis is a condition in which bones become brittle and weak due to the extensive loss of bone tissue. Spina bifida is a genetic birth defect that effects the development of the spinal cord while a baby is in the uterus. When present, this defect is typically detected and treated before a baby is born. X-rays, MRIs, bone density tests and arthroscopy are some of the primary diagnostic tools used to detect diseases and deformities of the skeletal system. Bone scans and bone marrow biopsies are used to diagnose cancer.

Skeletal Career

The careers in the skeletal system can be careers like chiropractors, orthopedists, podiatrists, forensic anthropologists, and radiologists. Every career works with bones and the framework of the body, the skeletal system is all the bones in your body and the tissues that connect the bones to each other, the tissues are the ligaments and tendons and cartilage. These careers are much needed because the skeletal system is very important. It is used for support, protection, movement, blood cell production, storage, and mineral homeostasis. Careers in the skeletal system all work differently to fix the skeletal system. Chiropractors, orthopedists, podiatrists, forensic anthropologists, and radiologists all work differently and have different tasks that they have to fulfill with the body, but they are all the same because regardless of what they are doing, they are still working with the skeletal system. For example, if you break your knee at work, a chiropractor can go and try and fix it. Chiropractors are the doctors you go to when you do not want to have surgery of use medication. Without your skeletal system, you would not be able to do anything at all. You would just be skin and guts and would have no structure. Careers for the skeletal system have a big responsibility to keep people healthy, and help them keep their bones strong.

Types of Fractures

There are many types of fractures, but the main categories are displaced, non-displaced, open, and closed. Displaced and non-displaced fractures refer to the way the bone breaks. In a displaced fracture, the bone snaps into two or more parts and moves so that the two ends are not lined up straight. A closed fracture is when the bone breaks but there is no puncture or open wound in the skin. An open fracture is one in which the bone breaks through the skin it may then recede back into the wound and not be visible through the skin. Comminuted are severe fractures that involve the breaking of a bone into several smaller pieces.Greenstick fractures are breaks in bones along only one side of the bone caused by a force perpendicular to the bone’s long axis. Another type of fracture known as avulsion fractures involves a small piece of bone being torn off from the main bone due to an extreme force applied to a ligament or tendon.A fracture is the medical term for a broken bone, they occur when the physical force exerted on the bone is stronger than the bone itself. Broken bones are very common in childhood, though children's fractures are generally less complicated than fractures in adults. As you age, your bones become more weak and you are more likely to suffer fractures from falls that would not occur when you were young.

tissue cell career

A Histologist is known for working closely with pathologist and diagnosticians to identify the cause of patient symptoms and flag warningg signs of disease. The people handle and analyze human tissue and blood samples to determine how patients are responding to treatment or medication. They assume managerial roles and generally perform more intricate and advanced tasks than a histologist technician. They not only analyze and confirm the test results of blood samples, but also search of bacteria and viruses. People who would like to get into this business or career need a bachelors in Biology. Chemistry, or statistics. The average hourly wage for histologist in the United States range from $18.25 and $26.89 as of June 2010, according to PayScale.com. All About Me

My name is Brianna Nicole Reyes, I am sixteen years old and a senior at AHS. I played Softball all four years of high school and been playing for about 5-6 years. Softball has changed my life, I was very reserved before and also over weight, but I began to open up and learned how to play while also communicating with my teammates. It was not easy, it took me a long time to communicate and actually interact with others.  I lack confidence in myself and get intimidated very often. It has always been a problem for me, especially in softball. Something positive about myself is I am very respectful, nice, and a great listener. People always come to me and talk to me about there problems I am a good advice giver and always look out for others. I am very indecisive, but when I do know what I want I work very hard to get it. I am a senior now and definitely have no idea what I want to do or where I want to go. It is extremely scary and time is running out, I only have a few months left and I will be off to the real world. I know everything will turn out okay but it will require a lot of hard work, dedication, and time. I am a huge family person, they are my number ones and mean the world to me. I am glad I have them to support me and help me with anything I need. I will continue to try my best in life and I am sure I will change but for now this is pretty much all about me.
